Nine-year-old Tarc has found himself thrown into a very confusing world of magic, mystery, and mayhem.
Soon after being taken in by the very secretive man named Dillan, Tarc discovers that he is no ordinary boy. He was born into this world for the sole purpose of stopping the Evil Wizard from stealing all of the magic and destroying the entire Magical World.
On his twelfth birthday, he receives the gift of a dragons egg. This is no ordinary dragon egg, though. It is the last egg of the once powerful dragon leader, Corrina and it has remained unhatched for many centuries, awaiting the arrival of its Chosen One. Upon hatching, Tarc forms a very unique life-bond with the dragon, who he names Jaden.
His adventures carry him deep into the Magical World where he must reunite all of the Magical families. Before he can complete this task, he must first locate the last of the dragons that narrowly escaped the Wizards clutches many years earlier. This proves harder than he had thought it would be because they do not trust humans and prefer to stay hidden high in the mountain tops. He must convince them to join him in the fight as they confront the Wizard and defeat him once and for all in the battle to save magic.
During his journey, Tarc meets a very special young girl named Lily and they soon discover that their futures are intertwined. Lily joins Tarc and Jaden as they continue their search for the dragons and they discover that she has some secrets of her own to share.
After completing the task, they finally trace the Wizard down to an abandoned town where he has resumed his work of creating the most horrid creatures known to man. Upon confronting the Wizard, they discover that his magic has reached further than anyone could possibly imagine. He has managed to corrupt one of the powerful young male dragons and is using him to spread his darkness throughout the magical world and beyond.
Will there ever be an end to the darkness?
Has Tarc come all this way and overcome so many obstacles only to fail in the very end?
